Gush Etzion – Blessed Valley
A few words about the winery:
The story that began with Jacob’s blessing and continued with the raspberry shrub that grew in the garden of the Rosenberg Family became a winery in 2005. The winery is located in the center of Gush Etzion, and it proudly represents the high-quality terroir of the area of the highest of the Judea Mountains. The Gush Etzion Winery constitutes the renewal of the wine tradition and the magnificent Jewish agriculture that has existed in the area for hundreds of years, and its purpose is to establish the Gush Etzion Area as one of the most important and most fertile wine areas in Israel and around the world.
About the wine:
A rich, complex and special wine. A strong red color. The wine strongly smells like ripe fruit and a developed bouquet which includes the fragrances of tobacco, chocolate, smoked meat and spices. The wine has a full, rich and complex body, with hard but round tannin and a long and complex finish. The wine was aging for 21 months in French barrels of Oak Tree. This special wine was prepared from the grapes of the highest quality that were picked in the grape harvest of 2017. The wine can age for an additional ten-year period under proper storage conditions.
